skip-trace

What is a Skip Trace Search?

A Skip Trace Search (sometimes called "skip-tracing" or a "skip trace investigation") is the process of finding someone who is attempting to conceal their location. Normally, a skip-trace investigation is initiated when you need to have someone served with a Summons, Subpoena or other legal papers. A skip-trace investigation can also be performed on real property to obtain the owner's contact information, as well as on a business or entity that has suddenly "disappeared" or skipped-out on a deal or transaction.
